Call us Dreamers, call me a Rebel! This is our Yonder!

Yonder is a dance performance in a coming of age format. In the middle of the ordinary and the “I get shivers all over my body” feeling, six dancers are waiting for life to begin, yet they live it, intensely. What happens is nothing, and everything at the same time. The choreography arises from a detailed physicality where the dance is driven by a spatially relational and explosive movement material that bubbles, cuts through and penetrates the space. Like a teenage roar.

The performance has its own soundtrack, based on lyrics and melodies created in dialogue with the Coming of Age concept. Toussaint “Tusse” Chiza, in collaboration with composer Matilda Bådagård, has written a collection of songs, which composer Sophia Ersson has then used as a starting point, when she let Yonder’s own soundtrack grow out of a close dialogue with the choreography.
